Peony

Purity in Patience

The peony doesn’t reveal its beauty to just anyone - only those who are truly dedicated can glimpse its rows of pink petals. In a nursery it can take 5 to 7 years from planting a peony to seeing the very first flower in bloom. But once it gets going, it goes all out. One single plant can have up to 60 flowers - and they can grow as big as a whole foot in diameter! L’OCCITANE’s peonies come from a small family nursery that’s been around for 160 years.

Ethical Sourcing

The peony gets its name from Paeon, Greek god of medicine and healing. While it’s been used in herbal healing in many cultures, its fine scent and seemingly endless petals have captivated the senses for generations.
